IMMUNOBOOST & QUANTUM LEAP SCOUR PREVENTATIVE
By: Russ Schnepper, D.V.M.
Inject 1 ml Immunoboost on Day One & Day Eight and feed an ounce of “Quantum Leap Scour Preventative”, twice a day for the first 10 days of the calf’s life to prevent all of the infections caused by the usual scour “bugs” (except Giardia). No additional antibiotics or additives are needed.
“Quantum Leap Scour Preventative” is a Type B medicated product for use in feed for veal and herd replacement calves. It contains decoquinate, Gammulin (bovine serum - a source of IgG immunoglobulins), ultra-fos (a prebiotic), trace minerals and vitamins. The product is agglomerated for easy mixing. Add QUANTUM LEAP after the milk is cooled down to feeding temperature to avoid clumping of the antibodies.
The decoquinate takes care of Cryptosporidiosis and Coccidia, IgG from Gammulin protects against the viruses as well as the bacteria. The FOS is made up of poly and oligosaccharides that act as prebiotics to promote the growth of the good ”bugs” in the calf’s gut. The trace minerals and vitamins help build a good immune system.
We have many reports from calf raisers saying that using Immunoboost and placing Quantum Leap Scour Preventative twice daily in the milk replacer for the first ten days of the calf’s life, prevents scours. Even the Crypto scours are not a problem..
“Quantum Leap Scour Preventative” is very cost effective. A ten day preventative only costs $11.32 per calf. Many calf raisers routinely invest twice this much money in a multitude of ineffective treatments.
“Quantum Leap Scour Preventative” does an excellent job of preventing scours. It should be fed as soon after the calf’s birth as possible. If you wait for the calf to scour before treating, the results are not as good. The Rota Corona virus scours strip the villi out of the calf’s intestine and your treatment does not solve the problem. So PREVENT THE SCOURS WITH ‘QUANTUM LEAP SCOUR PREVENTATIVE!!! If you are buying calves, treat Day One into the barn.
If scours are prevented, pneumonia that usually follows the scours by 14 days, is also prevented.
